Minutes - Sept 18, 2006

Board & General Meeting

Attendance: Colleen, George, Pat, Sandy, Lynn, Chance, Vineta, Tracie and Mary

Secretary Report: Motion made by Pat to except last meeting minutes, 2nd by Mary

Treasurer Report: Approximate - $ 9,000.

1st and 2nd Readings: An associate membership reading was given for Bill Wood. He lives in Eagle River, has 2 sheltie dogs, Storm age 5 and Teddy age 3. He’s an active club member with the Aussie Club and Herding. He currently trains with OTCC and ASCA for Agility, Obedience and herding. Mary Hermon and Cheryl Mallonee are his two sponsors.

Advertising/Fundraising: None

Training/Equipment: Sandy reported that Greg converted 16 jumps so that they can be stored easier. 5 remaining jumps will be left as is.

Policy & Procedures: None

Website: Lynn reported that the web hosting has been paid for another year. There are many new links and features that have been added. Such as you can post new award titles that your dog has earned. She also has posted some of the brags. Great Job Lynn.

Trial Committee Report: Tracie reported that she has ordered judges for our April Trial as well as for September. Both are from Arizona, Amber Abbott for the spring and Rodger Coor for the fall.

Old Business:
- Distance Handling Seminar- Chaired by Vineta
Sandy will be coordinating airline travel reservations for Kirsten Cole-MacMurray. She will be staying at Pam Holen’s B & B.

Handlers registration is full for Sunday, 1/2 full for Saturday with no auditors yet.

- Set Up: Colleen has volunteered to bring equipment trailer to the arena. She will be coordinating the arrangement with the McClintock’s due to them being out of town during the seminar weekend.

It had been agreed upon that we will not provide a food vendor. All registered handlers will be informed that they will need to bring their own lunch, chair and dog supplies. Also the temperature maybe cool and to dress accordingly. May want to include a small heater.


- Christmas Party: Kathy Ayers volunteered to host the part at her place. Date/times will be given at the next meeting.

New Business: Mid-winter member training sessions. Club decided to table this for now.

Next Meeting: October 23rd at the Windbreak. 6:30 pm to eat dinner, 7:00pm meeting.

Adjourned @ 7:30 pm. Sandy made the motion to close and Vineta 2nd it.
